Mower servicing and repairs
Push mowers, self-propelled, ride-ons and zero-turns — serviced and repaired by STIHL-trained technicians, whatever badge is on the deck.
Most mowers that come through our workshop aren’t broken so much as neglected — a season of long grass, old fuel and a blunt blade will make almost any machine feel like it’s on the way out. A proper service usually brings it back.
What a mower service covers
Our technicians are fully trained by STIHL and carry the latest specialised testing equipment, which matters as much for diagnosing a modern battery machine as it does for a twenty-year-old Victa. A typical service takes in:
- Blade sharpening or replacement, and balancing
- Air filter, fuel filter and spark plug
- Carburettor clean, adjustment or rebuild
- Fresh oil and a fuel system flush where old fuel has gummed things up
- Belts, cables and controls checked and adjusted
- Deck cleaned out, and the whole machine tested before it leaves
If something turns up that’s beyond a routine service, we’ll tell you what it needs and roughly what it involves before we go ahead.
Every make and model
We’re an Elite STIHL Dealer, but the workshop isn’t limited to one brand. We regularly work on Toro, Victa, Cox, Rover, Cub Cadet, Honda, Briggs & Stratton engines and plenty of others — including machines bought somewhere else entirely. If it cuts grass and has an engine, bring it in.
Ride-ons and zero-turns
Ride-on mowers and zero-turns need more than a blade and a plug. Deck levelling, belt wear, hydro units, battery and charging systems, and the safety interlocks that stop the machine when you leave the seat — all of it gets checked. These are also the machines most people can’t transport themselves, which is what our pickup and delivery service is for.
What it costs
There’s no single price, because a push mower tune-up and a ride-on that’s been sitting in a shed for three years are different jobs. What we can promise is that you’ll know what the work involves before we start it — we’d rather have the conversation up front than surprise you at the counter.
Ring 03 5231 6466 and describe what the machine is doing. Between us we’ve had well over thirty years of mowers through this workshop, so there’s a fair chance we’ve heard that noise before.
Before the busy season
The workshop gets flat out from early spring, when everybody’s grass takes off at once. If your mower has been sitting since autumn, booking it in during winter means it’s ready to go when you need it — rather than joining the queue in October.
